Marcus Hillerich wurde in Deutschland geboren und studierte Englisch und Geographie an der Universität zu Köln.

Nachdem er den nord- und südamerikanischen Kontinent bereiste, widmete er seine Aufmerksamkeit den weniger zugänglichen Regionen Asiens. In jüngster Zeit führten ihn seine Reisen entlang der Seidenstraße und in den Himalaya.

Marcus Hillerich ist der Autor der Bücher „Die Raupe und der Buddha“ und „Türe zu und wieder weg“, die 2013 und 2021 veröffentlicht wurden.

Sein Augenmerk gilt den Menschen und den versteckten Orten auf seinen Reisen. Er glaubt an den besonderen Moment, den er mit seiner Kamera einfangen möchte.

Marcus Hillerich was born in Germany. He studied English and Geography at the University of Cologne.

After having travelled to the Americas, Marcus turned his effort and desire to find less travelled paths in Asia. Finding remote places and exploring ancient cultures and traditions along the silk road and in the Himalayas has become his focus of attention in recent years.
